Hi all,
For all of those people that sent their prayers and well wishes for samcan07 and our family in the past months, thank you... Stephen Andrew Missen (SAM) passed away today at 1:15pm Aus ESTime, and is now at peace. samcan07 was a prolific forum poster, and friend of many on various sites. On behalf of all our family, thank you all and his memory won't be forgotten in our hearts, and I am sure he won't be forgotten here either. From all the posts I have read from people regarding Dads health, and what you had to say about his character online, it seems his character really transpired to the digital realm. Dad has always been a peaceful man, and never short of his sense of humour. Even in the last days, he showed this. Dad is survived by his wife, Pauline, and 3 children, Dale (me), Ricky and Jessica, who has given Dad joy with 2 beautiful grandchildren, the apples of his eyes, Aidan and Wyatt. In the last days, we read to him in his sleep the posts you left him and the family. I am sure he was listening and appreciated the posts as much as we all did. I am proud of my Dad, he fought hard, he was very brave, and to all those who contributed to his gift of a HD DVD player and a copy of Transformers, we thank you for giving him that joy. (even if he has bluray coloured glasses on, he really enjoyed it...) Long live the memory of samcan07 and let his peaceful, humourous spirit live on in us all. All the best, Dale and Family...

Sorry to hear of his passing, but only can believe the lord has eased his pain. May God bless him and your family.
I really never communicated with him, but some of his posts he left gave me the impression he was a very mature man and was well respected here. He will be a loss to this forum. God Bless and again my prayers go out for your family.

Very sad news. I never posted in the other thread since I never had the chance to speak with Stephen on the forums, so I felt a bit out of place to say anything really, though I was pulling for him to beat his disease as with anyone who encounters such.
May god bless both him and your family. He is at a place now that far exceeds anything this world could ever offer. |

I too never had a chance to get to know Samcan07 very well on the forum, but I thought of him nonetheless, because I am compassionate for all people. Even though I did not know your father, or you, I would just like to say that I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I hope you all can get through this troubling time together. I especially feel badly for Samcan's grand children who probably take this very hard. I am thankful your father is no longer suffering, and I hope he has found peace somewhere beyond this life.

Hi Dale,
Never really got to know Stephen, but from what I've heard and read on this forum he seems to have been a great guy. All our members have had nothing but praise regarding him, so I hope you can find comfort in knowing that he was liked by all the people whose life he touched. May He Rest in peace, and I wish you and the rest of his family all the best. Sufs

I'm very sorry for your loss, Dale, and please extend my condolances to the family. I didn't get much of an opportunity to "talk" to Samscan, but from the little I did see, he was an upstanding and nice guy.
Rest in Peace, Stephen Andrew. God Bless
