This one is for him and the memories of him on this forum
I give you and your family my condolences, but am glad that he is at peace and is now resting. Who knows, maybe the HD movies in heaven get earlier and more prolific release dates than here on earth.

I am very sad to have heard this, but now he will be able to watch over you all and while I know he will be sorely missed, at least now he is no longer in pain or discomfort.
God Bless him and we will miss his ability to support his format through humor and intelligence without resorting to any abuse or verbal attacks. He was a valued member with wit, intelligence and grace and we were lucky to have him grace our forum for the time he did.

It may not mean much Dale but your father brought out the best on HDF, not an easy task. Knowing little to nothing else about Sam I know that this alone has secured him a place in heaven.
We here all share your pain. Thank you for taking the time in what must be a very difficult time for you and your family to share this tragic news. Although our prayers for Sam pulling through are no longer our prayers for you and your family continue.

Stephen, I just know that if they have any kind of Internet access in Heaven, that you will definitely be using it to keep things jumping up there too! Get some rest now brother.
P.S. Please don't forget to put in a good few words, up in heaven, and have them save some space for the rest of us! Thanks for everything buddy!

Odd I was thinking yesterday afternoon that I had not seen anything from Sam in a while....I spend most of my time at this forum in the gamming and flatpanel sections and only occassionally ventured into the bluray vs hddvd threads....So I am very sorry to hear of this. I knew months ago that he was in a battle but I wasnt aware it was this serious.....I will respectfully ask that the Mods keep Sams profile here at the High Def Forum as a memorial to him and your family.....I have never mourned through and with an internet community before and although we only know each other through cyberspace I feel as though I have lost a part of our family....So may God grant you peace in this time of sorrow.....
respectfully, Pappylap

I haven't had many exchanges with Sam, but I love his avatar! I have sent Cass the request from pappy asking what can be done. HDF will be one less of a great place due to this loss.
