I am very sad to hear this, Dale. He is at peace now, and my condolences to you and your family. Sam was that rare poster here who supported Blu-ray and got along fabulously with everybody here and had a refreshing dry sense of humor, often using it to lighten the mood where it was most needed. He was a good friend and I will miss him. Take care, Dale and God bless.

He might be dead but his spirit lives on. I will miss him. He was my Blu-ray buddy on this forum. It was us against the world but he always kept his sense of humor even when attacked. His bananas always made me smile, too. Sam- I'll miss you, buddy. You were a joy to be around and I hope you're having a ball in heaven.

We all know that Stephen was a great guy. I'm glad for him that his pain is over. My prayers aren't for him because we all know that he is Home. My prayers are for you and your family ...that your hearts will heal quickly and his memories will comfort all of you.
I never spoke to Stephen directly but always read his posts. I'm sure that as soon as he reached his Home he did this.......... Peace for you and your family in this very difficult time

Dale:
Thanks you for keeping us informed. I am truly saddened by your father's (I will always think of him as Samcan) passing. He was one of the best posters here because he found the humorous side to supporting his format of choice and everyone loved him here. Having lost my father 11 years ago, I understand the pain AND the wonderful memories I have during this time. I look at those last weeks that I cared for my father and look at them as the best of times and the worst of times. They were the best of times because nothing was left unsaid and the worst of times because I had to watch my father wither away. I would not change that time for ANYTHING. Your father had the same type of humor my father had and if he was like my father, as long as he had breath and any strength, he would find a joke to be said or played All I can say is that you should dwell on all those wonderful memories as much as possible and have the comfort to know he is in a wonderful place now. I am deeply sorry for your family's loss and we share your sadness as he will be sorely missed here and everywhere he ever was. He was just that kind of guy that always left a positive impression wherever he went. The world is a lessor place without him. One last banana dance for Samcan07: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was not here for most of samcan's posting, but I read his entire post history about two weeks ago. He has a very good spirit, we should celebrate having known such a light hearted, genuinely happy individual. It comes across clearly in his posting.
His family is blessed for having him. Elvis is better conversation than us any day! Steven is free now, likely eating a fried banana sandwich with the king and telling him all about Blu-Ray
