Seriously, no thread crapping. I started a thread about BD players owners and it went off, lets not do it again.

My guess:
If the status quo regarding the studios doesn´t change, the "war" will continue just like it did in 2007:
- Day&Dates will rule the weeks, catalog titles will sell without impressing much.
- Hardware for both formats will sell ok
- Blu-ray will not manage to "outsell" HD DVD, but i guess software average ratios will look more like 2:1 - 3:1 in 2008 (outselling would be 7:1, 8:1 etc.)
- HD DVD PG
will still not do the promotion work it needs to do in order to get ahead (frequent BOGOS/ massive number of software titles output/ being omnipresent in the media/ creating awareness about the format/ actually having the discs in b&m stores, shooting for a 1:1 presence besides Blu-ray/ play the Twin card....)
Concering the rumors, i don´t believe one of them. Especially not those i am supposed to take to the bank.

Common sense would say, the dominos should all fall in one direction. Format war teached me, that money makes dominos fall in ways no one predicted......
all imo
Disclaimer:
Not sure if i still qualify as a HD DVD supporter.
