I like that deal I used to use that service for 7 dvds at once and I loved downloading from them so does that mean we can watch all we want from there and no limits on the downloads at all like how many a day. Thats a great deal hopefully they have Blu ray and HD to download.

I've watched a few movies using the service on my PC and it works well enough, not nearly as entertaining as watching on my HDTV though. Another thing, out of the 120+ movies in my queue, only 4 are available for streaming, so it has a long way to go to be of more interest to me as a main movie watching option.

I don't care for Netflix for the simple fact you can't download their movies on a Mac. You would think they would make it so us Mac users could use their services but I suppose we're not good enough.
![]() What are the system requirements to watch movies instantly on my PC? "You must have a computer running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or higher, or Windows Vista; Internet Explorer version 6 or higher; Windows Media Player version 11 or higher; an active broadband connection to the Internet; 1.0 GHz processor; 512 MB RAM; 3 GB free hard disk drive space."

For people with the set top boxes or the consoles (not sure if the PS3 will stream movies from the computer like the xbox will) then it could be very convenient.

If netflix let me do this on my ps3, 360 or tivo HD, I'd subscribe in a heart beat.
I already have a bunch of hardware, I don't want to buy another box.

On our satellite internet, it looks terrible and needs 20 minutes to download before beginning to watch. I sure don't and, apparently, never will. I watched one streamed movie and never did it again.

though the ratio of pcs to macs are pretty high they should have something for mac, but I'm surre Apple would block that out so they can go proprietary or something. Then they'll do more stupid Mr. Mac vs Mr. PC commercials. ugh... I love my PC. Macs are cool looking, but I don't have much desire top buy one with all I've invested into my computer.

We had a thread going last month about a Warner rep talking with M$ and Toshiba, guess the rumor was the Warner guy walked out. I was hoping that the next get HD DVD players would have included a hdd and wireless adaptor to connect to a router. I was really hoping they could have combined both DL and HD DVD into one box.
Of course I would like to see Blu-Ray do this as well but since they are dragging their feet on getting the live players in the stores and this would be another step and at least another year off. The PS3 could do it if the hdd was bigger. I really see this as the next step needed to change HDM from a "nice to have but not needed" format to the "up and coming must have way". It wouldn't be hard to modify a HDM player to be able to read a hdd. It would cement HDM so people who do not have or don't want to do DL will still have access to HD content while giving both worlds in one box to those who want to DL or both.
