Default Currently available 1.1 BD Players?

So I'm thinking about going purple sooner rather than later, but I don't want to be stuck with an obsolete BD player. I've been red exclusive up until now, so I'm not too familiar with all the current models. Can anyone recommend some 1.1 standalone players (not really interested in PS3) that is currently available? Thanks in advance...

This is the hot 1.1 player right now:

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMP-...0151900&sr=8-1

The Panasonic DMP-BD30K. It's Profile 1.1 with TrueHD and DTS-HD decoders built-in.

Nearest i can see if you get a 1.1 BD player you have to give up the player doing the HD audio decoding, so you will need a new receiver that has the decoders to actually hear them.

It only bitstreams the HD audio codecs to a receiver to do the decoding. Amazon is wrong from everything I have read. BTW, no player currently does DTS-HD MA decoding AFAIK.

Ah, you're right. It does only bitstream them.

Just kidding. I was just waiting to use that pic

In all seriousness, the Denon and the Marantz will decode every codec under the sun, make Waffle House quality omelets, and is likely to cost twice the average mortgage payment.
