Default putting HD DVD content on a Blu Ray Disc

i premise this with the obvious legal issues and the high cost associated with it, but it looks like someone in Japan was able to create a Transformers Blu Ray disc using an HD DVD rip. the story is over on Kotaku, currently it's on the second page. i don't want to link to it simply because i don't know if it against forum rules. this may not be news to people (i always thought it seemed logical to be able to do), but in my opinion this makes me feel a lot better about buying new movies even if this method won't likely include interactive features.

OoT ROM + PJ64 + 360 wired controller + Laptop hooked up to tv/speakers = awesome

If this format war continues the way it has for the last year then we just might have that. You would see Blu Ray on one side of the disc and HD DVD on the other, and possibly SD DVD as well.

LOL. Can you imagine that? A flipper disc with BD on one side and a TL Twin HD DVD on the other. Talk about covering your bases!

I think it is an absolutely wonderful idea and I would gladly pay $30 a movie for that. Once a DF player is released that is 2.0 compliant and below $300 I will definitely like to see that.
