Default Is there really no Bourne trilogy set? The plot thickens...

I know there's been a lot of talk about a Bourne HD DVD set, which was denied by Universal, but I've been wondering for some time now whether or not they've been straight up about it.

For some weeks now, there has been a Bourne HD trilogy listed for pre-order on a local NZ site I buy my HD DVDs from (gpstore), but the image they had was simply that of the SD DVD box set, so I suspected they'd be pulling the same offer as Amazon. I emailed them to confirm, specifically mentioning the events at Amazon, and they replied saying they didn't have any solid information at that point.

I looked again today however to find that it's been replaced by an image of an HD DVD box set

With all the talk of Amazon offering an 'exclusive' deal on the three movies, could this be what they're talking about? Gpstore are a very straight up store, they've won best online retailer in the country several times, and I've never seen them post anything misleading.

Another thing of interest is that this store I speak of is not the only one. It seems the HD trilogy has popped up on several stores systems, as one of the countries large bookstore chains also has the set available for pre-order. As this is the case, it's obviously not just some deal that gpstore have come up with.

Here's the link to the site I'm talking about: http://www.gpstore.co.nz/DVDs/1550659.html

Check out that pic! Lets hope something becomes of it

The HD DVD box set was canceled by Universal, but Amazon is offering a deal for the 3 movies purchased together.

But this 'edition' here in NZ is only recently announced; after the Universal cancellation.

That's still not the original boxset with the crazy looking box.

its basically what amazon have got just in a 3 pack sleave to hold the movies in. nothing special about it, wouldn't pick it up unless you don't have any of the movies on HD DVD yet.

Ah, I'm still pretty happy to see at least something boxset-ish, I loved the movies!

Unless you wanted to give them away as gifts or something. It's still a really good deal. I've decided against it though ever since Universal decided against it.
