The tone of this site is getting more argumentative and less information driven and it is not for the better.

He already knows my feelings on this, and yes I am directing it to EVERYONE here. I think GLOW knows that this needs to happen or else it will hurt the site, and I think he really likes it here. I think he will step up to the plate as long as everyone else does too.

The point is that we ALL need to or else this might not be the free and self ruling site it is. I do not think ANY of us want this site to change into what AVS is now do we?

The best way to keep that from happening is that we ALL treat each other with respect and civility. Treat each other like we are debating with our friends in person and that should solve the issues I am talking about.

I value this site and enjoy coming here but if the fighting continues this site will not be so enjoyable to me in the future. It also will hurt a primary function of this site which is to help others learn more about HD and make informed decisions about what to purchase and how to get the most from what they have.

With the increased fighting, it will just turn people away to look elsewhere which is not good IMO.

There seems to be this desire for balance - yet since we are becoming "more balanced" we have increased our share of problems by a factor of 2 and 3 X.

And HDF is NOTHING like AVS and never will be. We can discuss whatever we want in the manner we want to discuss it. We can start any thread we want and title it anyway we want.

There is no censoring going on here. True freedom of speech.

We both know what is needed. Let us see how that works out.
