Probably best not to try it in Germany. Might get your nuts frozen stuck to something.

What's this rot stuff all about, really don't know? Is it their cheapo coating to protect the substrata from damage that is rotting?

There were a couple of BD movies that came out that had what appeared to be disc rot, but it is basically a non-issue at this point. An improperly coated disc can develop rot over time, but so far it was very limited on BD so that is why I say it is a non-issue.

Maybe somewhere down the line it "could" happen, but I am not concerned about it anymore than I am with SD DVD, CD, or HD DVD either.

Ahhhh . . but CD's, DVD's and HD DVD's are all made the same way. A BD is totally different.

This is true, and there was a chemist here before that worked with similar types of hard coating used on BDs that said over time it yellows and gets more brittle. I certainly hope they allowed for that when they developed the various hard coating used on BD discs though.

So I got to thinking about BD and the Profile Issue and the sales of BD SAL's . . .

I think BluRay should change it's name to . . .

PS3Ray
