How many players will HD DVD have to sell to gain an exclusive Warner?

Right now at 750,000, I believe Warner will have to see 100,000 more players sold, plus a bad PS3 season to decide.

For the millionth mutherfucking time Warner could give a fuck about player sales only disc sales. Unless Warner brand HD-DVD players come out players are a non-issue for studios.

Also shut the flying fuck up about Warner going exclusive to either side they show no signs of moving.

Wow, I didn't realize YOU had the final say in discussions like this. By the way, how is it that only you know that Warner doesn't care about standalone sales? I would think that they would be interested in both format's sales performances this season, to see how many potential new HDM customers there might be.

Just a thought.

Just as well. Being 15, he's going to learn about what it takes to win a format war and see his first losing format. Nothing wrong with him taking an interest in A/V at his age. I was about that age, when I got involved. I was part of the great move to quadraphonic. Bought albums, 8 tracks and a nice Marantz 8 track/AM/FM/Quad receiver. All I have left are a few of the Quad LP's. Edgar Winter BTO and Deep Purple comes to mind. My first loss, at 15, in the format wars! HD DVD will be his first!

First of all, that was totally uncalled for, and is the most disgusting post I've ever read on this forum. There's just no need for that.

Whether or not they're moving sides, it's pretty common knowledge that Warner have registered their interest in stand-alone player sales.

And to the OP: I'm not sure how many they're looking for, I just hope Toshiba get as many out the door as possible

Why are there so many ass holes on tonight, Warner is gonna choose sides eventually and they will probably choose the side thats selling most. Im gonna laugh like hell when both of you have worthless Blu Ray players.

For what's worth (why do these forums have to be filled with children like that jeez)

WB did in FACT say they would be looking at hardware sales in the 4th qtr.
"more razors to sell the razor blades" or something like that.

I can just imagine what will happen to this site and AVS when they decide to go _________ exclusive.
Some site's gonna be shut down, I can tell that's going to happen.

Some kids' head will in fact explode from all this stupidity.

Well to get back on topic Im not sure WB will pick a side anytime soon. Great players sales for HD DVD this xmas season does not kill the fact that BD has out sold it all year. Why would they drop HD with all the new owners and what looks like better disk sales because of it? Dont think they will. Why would they drop Blu with better disk sales right now? They wont. HD DVD needs to show strong players sales all next year to make them switch. To do that they need to keep the prices dropping on the players so that even the crazies at BD.com cant pass one up. My guess is both sides hit mass market #s and we live with a dual format world. Too many PS3s out there for Blu to die and way to good of a price on HD for it to just roll over. If WB did pick a side I think the war might end just dont see it happening any time soon. That being said I feel much better about HD DVD now than I did a few months ago.
