Default New Panasonic BD player question.

The new panasonic DMPBD30K player is suppose to be the first BD player with Profile 1.1. But I noticed that it doesn't have computer connection. Can it be upgraded to BD Live 2.0 in the future?

If it does not have an ethernet connection ( I do not think it does), then it can NEVER be upgraded to BD-Live (2.0). An ethernet connection is required to be a BD-Live/2.0 player and without it you can never have internet interactivity.

No

Profile 2.0 requires an ethernet port and there's no firmware update that can do that I'm afraid

If you want blu-ray get a ps3

Blu standalones are a joke at this point

But the ps3 is almost certain to be 2.0 compliant

Currently BD players are a big joke. If you want a BD player regardless, then you can either get a PS3 which has an internet connection or just wait it out for another year
