cool info. I assume you are emphasizing "w/o lossless". How much better would it have sound "w/ lossless"? B/c it sounded great with the lossy soundtrack.

30,000,000,000 bytes capacity (?),
~ 28,274,000,000 bytes used:

~ 1,726,000,000 bytes not used
(+ some trailers.... ).

How big is a compressed lossless audio track and how big is the DD+ track?

Who is in charge of Paramount's marketing department?

Why do we really care what the size is?

I tried to demux it to get a breakdown of all the various streams, but it had new copy protection. It'll have to wait a couple weeks.

One can only speculate, that maybe the blu side once again wants to "prove" the inferiority of HD DVD. (They couldn´t add lossless, there isn´t even IME, blub, blub)

What i see, is a disc almost filled up with stuff i care about, the movie with most of the space allocated to it and a great sounding audio track. Fluff is on a seperate disc, as it should be. I want all HD DVDs to look like that....

I would call it smart engineering, but nevertheless a rather bad marketing decision concerning the "lossy" codec.....

Yes, but combine that with the title of the thread and you have a good response for mshulman's question.

Like others have posted, what is the purpose of this thread? GLOW, what is your agenda on this? According to many sources (I haven't watched it yet), the movie looks and sounds awesome.

Purchase a copy of Any DVD HD. That will let you demux or whatever you want.

What would be really cool is if you could download lossless audio for the movie. Just how big is a True HD or DTS MA file for a whole movie (didn't see an answer to nikopol's question)? I'm assuming that each language would need it's own track. Is the max size of a HD DVD 30gb or 30,000,000,000,000
