Same here. My wife records her favorite shows on the DVR and makes sures she set them up on the HD channels.

I find my wife watching the SD channel of many shows that have a HD channel just because it is the channel numbers she knows. She doesn't care much if at all about the PQ as long as it is not snowy etc.

Despite this she doesn't give me a hard time about HD movies because she knows I prefer it. THAT is how you train wives. You train them to be understanding about things they are not interested in out of respect for YOU.

I derive pleasure in giving her pleasure. That always helps.

Is this about HD (High Definintion)or something else entirely?

My wife WAS the same way, but now that she has seen some of her favorite programs in HD, she has become a complete HD SNOB! (Except for , she hates even the concept of this, for some inexplicable reason! )

IMO, D-TV did do something right, in labeling all of the HD equivalent channels, with the same channel numbers as the SD versions. This allowed me to set up channel favorites that excluded the SD versions so all of her known channel numbers, are identical but now are mostly in HD!

The Wife HD Conversion Feature, they should call it!
