The Harry Potter set, priced at $119.97 standard-definition and $149.99 Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD, will hold the first five films including the most recent theatrical installment, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It represents the first time Warner has enhanced a Potter collection with exclusive memorabilia, which includes bookmarks and collectible trading cards.

The five-disc Blade Runner set is $78.92 and four-disc is $34.99. Blu-ray and HD DVD versions of the five-disc configuration also will be available day and date.

The Blu-Ray Harry Potter set will be a must buy for me. I never bought the fourth movie on DVD because I knew that a Blu-Ray release was coming. $150 is a decent price not ideal but acceptable. Hopefully we will get lossless audio and IME on both versions.

Has the Harry Potter box set been announced for HD-DVD yet? This is definately a must buy for me. Any features announced yet? They better all feature a DTHD lossless track!

Dubbed 'Harry Potter Years 1-5 Limited Edition Gift Set,' Warner announced the long-awaited release during a special presentation at today's Home Media Expo in Los Angeles.

Though the studio did not have an exact street date as of yet, they did confirm that the release would include all five of the producer 'Harry Potter' films, including the current theatrical blockbuster 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.'

Pricing for the five-disc set will be $149.95 for both the Blu-ray and HD DVD versions.

No specs or supplemental details have been revealed. However, the set is expected to come in collectible packaging including exclusive Harry Potter memorabilia.

I think $150 MSRP will mean $100 on Amazon ($90 if you have the 10% off going on). I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan but my vote's not the only one that counts in my household (other than my vote that Blu-ray is prohibited ), so I'll probably preorder it.

I guess a November release but depending on when the 5th movie gets released.

Blade Runner is a definite. I don't have that one on DVD.

Do you have to get the pricey 5-box set to get Blade Runner?

The bad news here is that if the Kubrick collection were coming soon, surely WB would have mentioned it at this event with all of the others. :-(

HP HD-DVD for me. Though, hopefully we will be able to buy the movies individually. Don't know that I need ALL of them in HD.

Well House is a Fox title so definutly no HD-DVD this year. But considering Foxs record I doubt it will come to Blu-Ray either
