Who's fault is that?
Wait, yes its their's. After all they were going to wipe out DVD and take over within 3 years (so why bother making their format compatible with a quick to die format like the puny DVD)?

Oh my gawd....did we find a major reason why HD DVD should win the format war and another fault with the Blu-Ray design?

Why it's J6P fault unotis ! If J6P is not intelligent enough to choose the superior HD player, who's to blame ?
It's the dumbies buying the HD-DVD player at fault, obviously ! lol !Peace

From Wiki - BluRay . . . JVC has developed a three layer technology that allows putting both standard-definition DVD data and HD data on a BD/DVD combo. If successfully commercialized, this would enable the consumer to purchase a disc which could be played on current DVD players, and reveal its HD version when played on a new BD player.[4] This hybrid disc does not appear to be ready for production and no titles have been announced that would utilize this disc structure. |

I was referring to the Blu-Ray design team, they did not bother to design the format to be compatible with SD, so if they cannot take advantage of this, IT"S THEIR FAULT!

Was it something to do with Blu Ray owners wouldn't win because they invested in an incompatible format?

Well it looks like most people do think "priced right" Combo DVDs and the new larger capacity Twin discs would definately help the J6P consumer make the transition from SD to high definition DVDs with much less concern and expense and greatly help the market transition to HD video become a fact not fantasy.
It is too bad the Blu-Ray supporter have not added any opposite opinions and reasons yet (other then the few votes against the concept), do they think this is just too much of a Blu-Ray weakness, so instead they want to ignore the entire concept and pretend it couldn't exist ? ![]() Not trying to start another flame war, just don't understand why anyone would not think this would be a positive action for the studios to take and good for everyone in the future?
