Awww, is someone a little grumpsy today?
Format sucks? No capacity? No bandwidth? No wide selection of players? No wide selection of PC drives and writeable media?

It's okay little boy, you can buy into Blu-ray anytime you like.

No capacity? No bandwidth? Who the hell cares about R/W when I can plug a 300GB hdd into the USB port and play it anywhere?

bloo, you need better arguments. Player selection... ROFL! What really matters? PQ/AQ. Nothing you said relates to BD being superior. Yes, the PS3 is out there and the ONLY player keeping your format of choice alive, so the selection of player argument is squat, really.

So you continue with the insults don't you? And you keep telling us about ALL the advantages of BD yet the only one we see are more lossless audio titles. The PQ on both is EXACTLY the same.

So the player prices on HD DVD are getting to $199 - why don't you buy an HD DVD player? I refuse to buy a BD player AT ANY PRICE becuase of the profile issue - or have you forgotten about that?

BD fans don't care about extras.. isn't that right? Interactivity? Who needs that stuff, right? I'd say that too if I was in their shoes. Profile specs? Big deal, I over paid for my BD player, so it don't matter, right?

They know that the only way to sell HD DVD players is by taking HUGE loses. This is not a good thing. Yes, I am spinning this for blu-ray, but it is not in any way good for HD DVD to sell at this much loss.

Open you're GD eyes. This isn't about players in homes, this about business! And Toshiba is getting its ass kicked on the business side of this.

2: The price to manufactur and overhead expenses may have gone down over time. The increase in profits may have made the price cuts acceptable. They were not HUGE price cuts either. They weren't $200+ price cuts like on the A2. The $400 PS3 has less capabilities and a smaller harddrive - thus making the costs in production lower and mkaing the lower price more accpetable. Although, Sony may be selling at a loss in order to compete, I am not privey to that information.
Trolling2:
1. My guess that you "would not" was correct.
2. I never said HUGE price cuts, just a HUGE loss for every PS3 sold. 2 price cuts within its 1st year of release, no matter how small or how they wanted to spin it off, is still pretty aggressive/desperate..3. Do a quick goggle search on PS3's losses Per Unit Sold. Then you can be "privey” to the info..

I just do not get how TWO price cuts on the PS3 that was already losing well over $100.00 per unit (even after assumed mfg cost reductions), to then drop the price $200.00 more is "good business" but Toshiba selling massive units of the A2 to get market share is "bad business".

This is the classic definition of hypocrisy. How they can ban you for pointing this out is ridiculous as well. They must be VERY scared now at BD.com

Blu ray

HD DVD

It took us longer to get there, but ultimately we've ended up with a product backed by a solid business strategy that will last for many years to come.

Posting with a name of trolling2 is probably what did it. I bet you wouldn't have been banned if your name was different. Either way, its still ridiculous.

I was just over there reading a thread called "Went red". Of course I could see him getting banned for life but basically he said the $99 price was just too low to pass up. Of course the blu blooded cut him down and when others started speaking up about how they cared more about HDM than the BD format someone cried and poof the thread was closed and removed.

I'm kind of enjoying myself over there. The over the edge guys are great but there are plenty who are like most here, like movies but prefer BD over HD DVD. Then I started noticing that the really over the top guys would gang up on a purple. Once things got out of hand the purle would get the word "banned" under his name.

If I was trying to find out about the two formats that would be a place I might join to find out more about BD. I saw 4 different people post things like this "You guys are nuts, it's just a format". Of course that would get 4 or 5 responces one would expect leading to "I'll choose HD DVD thank you very much". The over the toppers are doing more to support HD DVD than anything we could say over here.

Do they really think calling someone an idiot because they spent $100 for a HD DVD player with 7 free movies is good for the format they choose? To have some fool spout off how you are only getting a 1080i player and not true HD while his sig includes a 1080i HDTV.

I've thought about joining so I could post once then get my ban out of the way. Someone named Tron3 has a thread asking about thoughts from neutral members. Each time he posts he can't understand that somebody would much rather enjoy watching HDM than fighting the format war. As I said they are doing more than anything we could do here. Of course if they keep banning people and turning away people before they fall for the fud they will have a very small base.

Problem is, with lifetime bans, they are potentially alienating a lot of people. What happens if Blu-ray wins?
