Format sucks? No capacity? No bandwidth? No wide selection of players? No wide selection of PC drives and writeable media? It's okay little boy, you can buy into Blu-ray anytime you like. |

bloo, you need better arguments. Player selection... ROFL! What really matters? PQ/AQ. Nothing you said relates to BD being superior. Yes, the PS3 is out there and the ONLY player keeping your format of choice alive, so the selection of player argument is squat, really.

So the player prices on HD DVD are getting to $199 - why don't you buy an HD DVD player? I refuse to buy a BD player AT ANY PRICE becuase of the profile issue - or have you forgotten about that? |

It is what you do to compete. So based on that, would you say the PS3 is getting it's ass kicked and it's more aggressive pricing is just desperation?? But all this is just good for the consumer. 1. My guess that you "would not" was correct. 2. I never said HUGE price cuts, just a HUGE loss for every PS3 sold. 2 price cuts within its 1st year of release, no matter how small or how they wanted to spin it off, is still pretty aggressive/desperate..3. Do a quick goggle search on PS3's losses Per Unit Sold. Then you can be "privey” to the info..

This is the classic definition of hypocrisy. How they can ban you for pointing this out is ridiculous as well. They must be VERY scared now at BD.com

I was just over there reading a thread called "Went red". Of course I could see him getting banned for life but basically he said the $99 price was just too low to pass up. Of course the blu blooded cut him down and when others started speaking up about how they cared more about HDM than the BD format someone cried and poof the thread was closed and removed.
I'm kind of enjoying myself over there. The over the edge guys are great but there are plenty who are like most here, like movies but prefer BD over HD DVD. Then I started noticing that the really over the top guys would gang up on a purple. Once things got out of hand the purle would get the word "banned" under his name. If I was trying to find out about the two formats that would be a place I might join to find out more about BD. I saw 4 different people post things like this "You guys are nuts, it's just a format". Of course that would get 4 or 5 responces one would expect leading to "I'll choose HD DVD thank you very much". The over the toppers are doing more to support HD DVD than anything we could say over here. Do they really think calling someone an idiot because they spent $100 for a HD DVD player with 7 free movies is good for the format they choose? To have some fool spout off how you are only getting a 1080i player and not true HD while his sig includes a 1080i HDTV. I've thought about joining so I could post once then get my ban out of the way. Someone named Tron3 has a thread asking about thoughts from neutral members. Each time he posts he can't understand that somebody would much rather enjoy watching HDM than fighting the format war. As I said they are doing more than anything we could do here. Of course if they keep banning people and turning away people before they fall for the fud they will have a very small base. |

Problem is, with lifetime bans, they are potentially alienating a lot of people. What happens if Blu-ray wins?
