It pains me to hear to pine for the BD movies, so do yourself a favor and satisfy that growing hunger inside you for BD movies.
To tell you the truth, I'm not pining for BD movies as much as I am longing for some movies in HD DVD that I would buy. There are many, many, many, many titles in the Universal catalogue alone, that I would buy in a heartbeat. Not to mention WB, and Paramount. The problem is, they aren't releasing any of them.

I'm not buying a BD player until a worthwhile player comes out. Period. No matter how long that takes. But just so you know, I have been buying all the BD titles I've had my eye on all this time. They just sit there waiting to be watched when a new player comes out.

There is no reason for HD DVD not to release a wider variety of films, and definitely no reason why they should be releasing complete stinkers like Waterworld. That is just nonesense.

Wow, Despairado that's pretty amazing that you hold out for a worthwhile BD player while buying BD movies. Does the temptation grow with the number of blue cases you see on you shelf?

I agree that Universal should be releasing more action movies like last year. Maybe not such a high percentage but at least more than what's been announced. Also there a too many duds in their lineup but their list isn't complete and I expect the other 40 or so yet to be announced for this year will be a lot better. Also I hope that WB and Paramount really get on the ball and take some of the focus off Universal. Nice to see WB come with the Matrix collection, especially without a concurrent BD version, because that means they won't wait for BD to get up to spec, which is great news for HD DVD. I'm pretty optimistic now about the rest of the year.

BTW, I bought the other 3 volumes of the James Bond Ultimate Collection and I'm watching them in chronological order (I've seen very few of them). Great transfers!

I guess I just have too much disposable income too young. It sucks. I am really starting to feel like no one is marketing to me. I don't have and don't want a PS3, so I am missing out on BD. Plus, I already own all the worth-having titles that HD DVD has to offer on recent re-mastered editions of SD DVD.

If you have too much DI for your age, I could take some off your hands for no fee

Just sit back and relax. Go and have a drink, tinker with your hotrod car, and maybe take a break. Sooner or later, there is just going to be more titles than any of us will be able to keep track of. This is a great hobby, but sometimes we just need a break when things are a little slow for the time being. I'm taking this opportunity to basically catch up on my X360 gaming and unlock all those achievement points that I havn't gotten to yet on my older games.
