Default Netflix and HD-DVD

I went to my queue today and looked that the HD-DVDs I have stacked up in front: "Miami Vice", "The Ant Bully", and "You, Me, and Dupree" are the first few. They all have short waits or long waits. Out of curiosity I flipped the format selector to "DVD" and they all came up as available now.
I e-mailed Netflix customer service and requested that they start buying more copies of HD-DVD new release titles, because obviously there is demand for them. All of you Netflix subscribers should do the same. Netflix is so huge that if they started buying even 5% more copies in HD-DVD it would be a huge victory for the format.
Out of curiosity, what is the situation at Netflix for Blu-Ray? Is there a backup for new titles?

BTW, don't tell me to go buy the titles out of loyalty to the format. I have a Netflix account so I can see crap like "You, Me, & Dupree" without having to deal with the shame of owning it. Plus I already buy more HD-DVDs than I should.

BD is also available, the waiting periods gettting longer and longer for hd dvd i was gonig to cancel my service but then i got PS3, watching BD most of the times since there is no waiting period there, that is also a good indication where BD stands right now.

Not sure how to interpret that. Is it an indication that no one bothers to rent BD titles or that Netflix gets more BD copies for each title than what they get for HD-DVDs?

It DEFINATELY is that Netflix does not have enough copies on the HD-DVD format for the demand there is. Wether they have more copies for the BD versions, or the demand is not as high is a question for Netflix, but it is clear that the demand outstrips the supply for the HD-DVD format at this point.

I remember when I bought my player, there was no wait at all for the HD-DVDs. AHHHHHH, the good ole days.
