V for Vendetta?

According to IGN it's coming out on hd-dvd on the 31st of this month and will have that IME thing with the video commentary thing, like Tokyo Drift.

Only a couple weeks away and this is the first i've heard of it. Was wondering if they would break this out in hd.

Another reason i can't wait for the XA2.

As I said in the other thread the movie is an anti-American abomination. The movie is nothing but a long bashing of Christian Conservatives not so cleverly disguised as action movie. Bascially take all the slow plotting and bad dialog of the last two Matrix movies but without the redeeming action scenes. The fact that Warner has choosen to release this movie in high definition is shameful. So many good movies in there library and they release this.

I was watching this movie a couple of weeks ago and i just kept saying to myself, if only this was released in hd dvd format..

Edit: I looked in IMDB and it's #128 in the Top 250! Now it's a total no-brainer.

Its estimated that around 15% of Muslims support terrorism. Thats over 150 million people. So yeah I expect V for Vendetta to sell big.

Get a life, grow up, etc etc etc...

The movie was quite entertaining and wasn't anti american.

Just because some fellows made a parody of GW Bush using bits of the movie, doesn't make the movie anti your party.

I think you're being a bit overly sensitive, it was written by a english author and published in england in the late 80's, it's not a dig against the U.S.

No the original novel was an attack on Margret Thatcher one of Britians best Prime Ministers. With the time of Thatcher passed the movie focus on Bush. I don't mind making fun of the President (Im a big fan of the old Will Feral sketches) but V for Vendetta really seemed nasty towards everything I believe in. The worst has to be the fact that the movie clearly alleges that 9/11 was a government conspiracy. A ridiculous notion that South Park last night correctly called retarded. The parallels between the Governments plot in the movie and the ramblings of 9/11 deniers are simply too close to be cowincidence. The movie itself is a raging hypocracy. The movie acusses conservatives of fear mongering but the movie itself is a work of fear mongering and hate speach. Its funny with all the lefts complaining about racisim against minorities they can't seem to ever dislike any hate against Christians because to liberals Christians always deserve it. But like I said before V for Vendetta was actually quite educational for me. It helped me show just the kind of sick and twisted things that goes through the mind of a liberal. V for Vendetta honestly made me pitty the left and left me felling sad that there are so many people who tolarte such hate.

A co worker a couple weeks ago told me to check out this documentary called Loose Change, you can watch it through Google video for free. I'm neutral and indifferent as far as politics go, never really able to get into a heated arguement about it, i just let people have their opinions and i feel how i feel, found the video pretty interesting though. Figured it would probably make you sick or go on a killing spree, so maybe you shouldn't watch it, but if you would like to see "the sick and twisted things that go through the mind of a liberal" haha, you should definately check it out Jimmy
