Default Got my first HD-DVD :)

Got my first HD-DVD (burnt on a normal dvd though...)
No player would automatically play it and none of the software dvd players recognized anything, but the folder on the disk is HVDVD_TS and it has a bunch of .BUPs, .IFOs, and .EVOs.
I tried opening the EVOs in Elecard's mpeg player and the played very beautifully, with about 40-55% CPU usage, and no sign of any compression, but i still could not get the menu to work...
There are just a few clips on the dvd, some 1080i and some720p, but no 1080p ones. All the vids were just scenery, buildings, and close-ups of flowers, but very nice, sharp, and clean.
Another thing i noticed was the good 5.1 ac3 audio track; it makes you feel like you are there (maybe the new dolby?).

Interesting system...

Their HD DVB-T PCI DVR card will be a big hit in Oz, might even be the first such card there... will work in Europe too, where Germany has just started broadcasting in HD... it's switchable for 6/7/8 MHz channel width.

I think that in Europe and Germany HDTV is /or will be broadcasted only thru kabel and SAT providers.
