Pretty strong endorsement. If your analysis is accurate, they should end up selling over a billion of those things when all's said and done. Nearly every home with a TV will someday own at least one.

Surely 2007 taught us that "consumers" aren't the most intelligent lot?

Absolutely no benefit to me if this remains limited to North American ip addresses, as is the case with all other PS3 movie purchases.

That's true, but at $299, not too many consumers can afford to be intelligent.

Well I am pretty much over it at this point and love being able to get HD DVD movies for $3.88 as a consolation so I can "go on".

That is why I used past tense. Now if BD player prices didn't drop so much (much more than I expected) it likely would still be a sad thing.
