I can live with this for free now and wonder if this will be coming out for other BD-Live BD players as well at some point.

It is free but I wonder if they could modify the disc for regular BD-Live BD players also and expand to even more is what I meant to say.

Pretty strong endorsement. If your analysis is accurate, they should end up selling over a billion of those things when all's said and done. Nearly every home with a TV will someday own at least one.

Quit hating Bruce.

It's not everyday you buy a piece of CE gear and two or three years later it keeps getting better, and not only is it not outdated, it's in the forefront.

best value doesn't equate to best sales

Surely 2007 taught us that "consumers" aren't the most intelligent lot?

Absolutely no benefit to me if this remains limited to North American ip addresses, as is the case with all other PS3 movie purchases.

That's true, but at $299, not too many consumers can afford to be intelligent.

Exactly. I was going to post this and then saw this post.

It was a sad day(s) at the time though.

Well I am pretty much over it at this point and love being able to get HD DVD movies for $3.88 as a consolation so I can "go on".

That is why I used past tense. Now if BD player prices didn't drop so much (much more than I expected) it likely would still be a sad thing.
