![]() VLC player was playing 720p movies (the 4.34 gb rips) mkv, avi, movies types very well. But now it just drags the screen and stutters heavily and pauses, but the audio continues fine. Help needed. Here is my system config, Pentium 4 3.2 ghz, 1 gb ddr ram, geforce 7200 gs 256 mb card, XP service pack 2. Using VLC player, I have the coreavc and Klite media pack installed. Anyone with this problem and had it solved your help will be greatly appreciated, Thank you

are you saying a file played fine, then later, the same file cannot play well? If so, you might check if you made any codec changes by installing something. Check your CPU usage via the task manager and see if your CPU usage is at 90% or higher when playing the movie.
If you are saying that some 720p movies play fine, but some don't, it might be the compression or bitrate on the other movies. The higher the bitrate, the more the CPU is used. The stuttering and skipping that you are describing whilst the audio is fine sounds like the CPU is choking up. |
