Anybody deal with "East Coast TV's"?

So far so good, great actually. ECTV's prices and ordering system is so easy. I did manage make it rather confusing for ECTV by trying to order my Samsung twice, the first time at the posted price online and then when I noticed the price had dropped $60.00 and hit re-order, my order then mistakenly read that I was purchasing 2 TV's. Jimmy was great on the phone, no pressure for the extended warranty and a firm promise for next week delivery. In addition, he also gave me the lower price as well. I got a great buy for a Samsung UNB467000! Also ordered a Samsung blueray. I'll post photos and a follow up. This company really wants to please the customer and get established. I agree that we all have to be careful out there when purchasing such expensive equipment but also we can't be too cynical.

Seems a little fishy, but I gotta believe there's a guy workin there with a crap load of usernames and passwords written on a peice of paper to write all of there "success stories".

Via the ECTV web site, ordered a Panasonic 50" plasma two Sundays ago. Jimmy called on Monday to confirm order and said the trucking company would call in five days. The following Sunday I received a voicemail from the trucking company saying that delivery was scheduled for the next day, within a four hour window, and to call back if I had any questions. As promised the trucking company delivered the TV on Monday. Two guys brought in the unit, plugged it into the outlet, turned it on, asked me to check for damage (there were none), swiped my credit card, end of transaction. (I installed the TV on it's stand myself so the delivery guys didn't need to stick around, since I didn't request/pay for it.)

If you don't need the hand-holding provided by the local stores (which you pay for in the price) then ECTV is the vendor to use.

I said the same thing about 5 times. I agree. Very strange. There are threads about the new PS3 slim, and Xbox360 price drops, and more people are buying those than shopping at ECTVs. Now, how can HDF get so many new members just to give ECTVs a reach around? I have no clue, but it does smell like an old fishing boat here.

With all due respect, that is bull. I found this thread accidentally, while looking for info about the company. Perhaps others have done the same? I eventually purchased a 46B650 from them and it was a very positive experience. Others here have even posted photos, fer crissakes! What else do you want? Maybe some folks are disturbed by the fact that this company lives up to what they offer. ("Hey, isn't this guy from NJ? Isn't that where ECTV is? Gee, he must be a plant!!")

That is exactly how i came across this forum, i googled "East Coast TV's reviews" and this thread came up so i decided to join and ask about the company. Eventually i ended up purchasing a Panasonic G10 Plasma from them and all went well until yesterday after 19 days of owning the set my TV blew it's power supply. Not their fault though as things like this happen with electronics. I called Panasonic and i am scheduled for a repair on Wednesday.

That is funny as hell! Bull? It has been documented on this thread already. It is not bull, just funny. You may or may not have tripped upon this forum by accident, and I do not really care. If you had a good experience, GREAT! Read the thread, I think it is good to have this type of communication. But it is still FACT that there have been a lot of new comers to defend ECTVs, and they rarely participate in any other threads (until that fact was called out.) Anywho, who cares?

Newcomers do not equal plants...in the real world. (And BTW, I've read nearly all the posts here.) No interest in fights, just dislike seeing others misrepresented.

I think one of the reasons WHY there are so many newcomers here is that this thread hits near the top of the Google searches for this company, and also because ECTV sends the link to this thread to new buyers from what several have said.

This is the exact reason why a 30 day return policy is key, I for one dont want the back removed from my 19 day old panel to have some parts changed out no way.I want it sent back to the seller and send me a new panel or refund my money

You should really look over the thread and the "photos" the pics dont link the seller to any of the panels in no way shape or form they could be any one with panels bought from anywhere.The only pic showing any remote chance of a delivery is the back of a white panel truck driving away, that surely convinced me of an ectv delivery, LOL.If you want to use the photo's as an argumentitive approach to the great services of this company get some real pics posted up in the house. like two guys unloading from the truck , unboxing ,set up , smiles and such. Everything continually looks staged and sounds like BS

Personally, i am not really that worried. The Panasonic rep i spoke to told me that if this doesn't fix the issue that they will just completely replace the TV with a brand new one. This is one of the main reasons i went with Panasonic over any other brand.
