Ordered a 50+ inch screen tv from them. They lied twice on the phone to us about when it was gonna be shipped and when it would arrive. Overall we are very unhappy about the experience. The same guy keeps answering every time we call, his name is steve. At this point we would like to just get a full refund back if possible(no restocking fees or anything like that). I'm wondering if we refuse delivery and have cc company do a chargeback if we can get our money back?

So I got my tv last week, perfect condition, no problems, they delivered it on time and in perfect shape, I chose white glove delivery, where they come in and turn it on and make sure it works. Everything works, great tv at great price. So that's my 2 cents, nothing to complain about, I had a great experience. But maybe I'm just lucky? I don't know...

I ended up upgrading to the expedited shipping for $89 which they said would get the tv to me in about a week, since I need to get it before leaving town in a few weeks.

I will post again when I either get it or if I end up running into any problems with them, and we will see what happens... Wish me luck!

Default Average ship time

Well....took a little longer to ship than expected. Maybe because I ordered at Christmas time. Anyway after complaining to the manager Tony, he did me a real solid and upgraded my set. I thought that was pretty cool. Got my set Jan. 10 and loving it. Thanks eastcoasttv for making me a happy customer. I would definitely recommend these guys if you don't mind waiting a little longer to save a lot of money.
Oh...if anyone has some good calibration settings for the LG 55LM7600, I would appreciate it. It looks great right out of the box, but I would like to tweak it in a little more, and I'm not that good at it.

Just completed an order with these guys and other than the Jersey sleeze bag sales tactics trying to up-sell things after the fact and trying to sneak in BS charges like "insurance", etc... everything went fine. TV was delivered within a few days to NYC, in good condition, best price I could find. I could have done without the hard-sell phone call. But, all-in-all...it was fine.

Default Ordered From EastCoastTV's

I just received my 47" LED TV from Eastcoast TV's and I am very pleased. When the package was delivered, the delivery guy came in, inspected that the TV was in good working condition with me, and that there were no cracks in the screen.

As other people have said with them "you have to avoid the upsel" The day after I purchased the TV, I received a call from them where they tried to sell me "express" shipping, and a "white glove service". Considering they are located in NJ and I in MD, i figured the shipping would be express anyway and declined... the package arrived in 5 days. From what I understand about the white glove service, they did this anyway without me purchasing any upgrades.

I am overall pleased with their service and their response times to emails, and overall, I got the best price that could be found for what I purchased.

I would buy again from EastcoastTV's.co.m.

Default This company is a dirtly scam artist

I had a coupon code that their web site accepts but at the end AFTER they take your credit card number it says "an error occured" and to call them. When I called them they say you can't use the coupon. So I even agreed to remove the coupon. But the web site still says "an error occured". Then they offer to place the order over the phone and take your credit card number again. AFTER that they said there is 2% insurance fee that will be added. They keep adding more and more fees after they take your credit card number.

The company is very shady. Do not order anything from this company.

I just got off the phone with them placing an order (1/31/13). I had to pay extra for shipping since I don't live in the normal shipping areas. I knew this would happen and even after the extra shipping and buying an extended warranty I still paid less then I would have paid at a Best Buy or on Amazon. I will post again with updates as the transaction processes. My salesman was Michael and he did a good job talking to me about options I had.

Update #1 2/1/13
Called them today at 2pm because I was told when I ordered yesterday that I would receive a confirmation e-mail "a few minutes after I get off the phone with them" and still hadn't received it. The automated message (could that automated message make the company sound any more shady? Get a real person to do the message please. It just doesn't sound professional) gave me the store hours (which said they were open until 3 pm today) and then it just hung up on me. Apparently they are closed on Saturdays? so I will have to call Sunday (Which according to the robot on the phone they are open from 10am to 12 AM Sundays???). Will update more as I get information.

Update #2 2/3/13
Called again today and talked to Michael. We were able to figure out that my e-mail adress was entered wrong when I placed my order on the phone. Got that fixed and he was able to send me the e-mail with order confirmation. Very helpful so far. Hoping the TV ships early this week. Will update again later.

Update #3 2/6/13
Got an e-mail on 2/4/13 saying my TV has been shipped. The tracking doesn't say anything more then that it was shipped from NJ and is headed for NY. I e-mail them yesterday (2/5/13) and asked if I could get an estimated delivery date but haven't heard back yet.

Update #4 2/8/13
I got a call today from the shipping company telling me that my TV will be delivered on Monday (2/11/13) between 1pm and 5pm.

Update #5 2/11/13
TV came today around 4pm. Everything was just as it should have been. Only thing I have to say is if your TV is being delivered during winter time do not bother with the white glove delivery. They just take it out of the box and tell you that you should wait a few hours for it to get to room temperature before you turn it on. I knew this ahead of time but had to get white glove anyways since I am not in their normal shipping area so white glove was (apparently) my only option.

WOW, wish i would have seen this forum before I placed my order. Lets see, ordered on March 2nd. Got a phone call March 3rd saying the paycheck discount didnt count with a credit card. Ok no big deal. Next offered faster shipping and upgrade of TV wallmount for 69 dollars more and will have TV within 3 days. OK sounds good. The "upgraded" wallmount came 2 days later (im pretty sure its the one i originally ordered). Wednesday the sixth, no call or update from them. Called them to find out whats going on and was told it was shipped and I will have it by Friday. Friday came, no TV, I called again Friday afternoon. I am told TV is ready to be shipped and I will get a call Monday from the delivery guy to set up delivery time for Tuesday. Monday 11th comes, no call from delivery guy. Today is Tuesday, no TV. Called them this afternoon and found out the delivery company that had the TV does not deliver to my area. They are waiting for the TV to come back and it will be redelivered and I will have it by Friday. After thinking about it for about 20 minutes and getting more pissed about it I decided to call back and just cancel the entire order. During the entire process I was greeted with an attitude and when I said I wanted to cancel you would think I just wished death on someone. Hung up the phone and 20 minutes later I get a call from the manager of the company. Right now I have been promised by the manager that my TV will be here tomorow. If I do not hear anything by noon tomorow, it will be canceled again and I will be calling the better business bureau about this company along with my CC for fraudulent charges. One BIG thing this company misses is "the customer is always right" not the other way around....I will repost tomorow if my TV shows up, but I dont think it will.....

My TV showed up last night at about 8PM. Next time I will happily pay more money at a retail store for electronics than deal with this company again. My TV did come, yes, but I believe if I never followed up and pressured the salesmen I would still be waiting for my TV. This company's empty promises and strong arm tactics to its customers will hurt them in the long run. Having me pay for faster shipping and telling me it was delivered when I know it wasnt makes you question the credibility of the company. If they were just flat out honest to begin with that you may not get your TV for a couple weeks, I would have been completely fine with that. So i guess my suggestion to anyone still looking to do business with East Coast TV's is, dont pay for the quicker shipping, definetly use a credit card for purchase, and just expect your TV to take 2 weeks to come. I saved almost 500 dollars on my TV, but got a headache in return....

3/20/13 Placed an online order with East Coast TVs for a Samsung 55" Series 6 LED HDTV - UN55ES6500. I received an order confirmation email from them right away.

3/21 pm. Received a call from Michael, stating the TV I ordered was out of stock, but he could change my order to a UN55ES6550.

Did my homework and was satisfied with my choice of the UN55ES6500, but knew nothing about the 6550, so I advised Michael to just leave the order as is for fulfillment when the correct TV is in stock. I also said I'd research the item he offered as a replacement. Did some research and found the item offered is a newer model that is Wine Red in color, sadly, I'm not really interested in a Wine Red TV.

Also called Samsung tech support about an issue I was having with the set this is replacing and asked the tech there for his opinion about the difference between the 6500 and 6550. Tech support said the contrast ratio was better on the 6500 and it has better picture quality. Does Samsung tech support know what they're talking about? Who knows?.. I hope so.

3/22/13 Called Michael at EastCoastTVs back and asked him to cancel my order. End of story. No drama. I'll just go to my local Walm..t and buy a big dumb 2D yearend clearance model for less money, maybe.

Oops.. well, a little drama. George, from ECTVs called me back to offer me a UN55ES6600 or the 6550 for the price listed on the 6500 that I'd originally ordered. Very generous offer, thank you. But.. man.. now I have to do more research. Huh.. Samsung doesn't even have the 6600 on their website and two of the internet review website sources I used don't list this TV and I am growing weary of doing the research. I don't really need 3D, don't really need a smart TV, my PC and Laptops are pretty well integrated into my entertainment systems already. I think I'll just go out and buy some big dumb flat screen with a pretty good picture and be done with it. Thanks for the call back and the offer George. Appreciate it.

Well guess what? That's not the end of the story. I'm second guessing my decision already. When does that not happen, huh?

For me, it's all about the picture quality. I would hope that the micro dimming technology in the UN55ES6600 model will provide the best uniform contrast and color of everything I've considered on my short list so far. And it's very energy efficient and I already use plenty of energy on the audio side of my entertainment system, so why not pinch a few pennies here if I can? Do I need a 60 or 65 inch display? Not really, I've got a projector that I just need to buy a bulb for and dust it off, if I really want to go big. So that's already covered. I just want the best possible display for a particular price point And I think the 6600 will fit the bill nicely.

So George, thank you for making me an offer I couldn't refuse. I appreciate the kindness of your offer and I accept. Thank you.

Now, I wonder when it will arrive?

4/3/13 Update ~ No notification of shipping yet.
Order status is processing.

3/30/13 Discover card was billed.

4/4/13 5:57 PM received email notification that the order has shipped.
Tracking shows billing detail received on 4/3/13.
4/5/13 tracking shows the order is in transit.(NY to OH)
4/8/13 nothing to update, which is disturbing.
4/9/13 Curiosity and impatience finally caused me to call.
First called ECTVs, who said they could check or I could call the shipping co. myself.
Called AM Delivery ~ this is their story:
4/7/13 Order arrived their distribution hub.
4/8/13 Order unloaded from truck.
Order may be scheduled for delivery 4/11,12,15, or 16,
depending on routes and work loads.
They'll call me let me know when it will be delivered.

4/10/13 8:05pm AM Delivery called to schedule a 4/11/13 delivery of the TV.
4/11/13 TV delivered as scheduled on 4/10.

Thank you ECTVs for fulfilling this order.

The Jewish Passover Feast observance took place this past week and I would not have provided this update since I still do not have any type of shipping notification at this time, but since my Discover card was already billed for the TV on March 30th, I felt that was something that should be noted. Apparently it's ok to do that kind of work during the Passover Feast.

Still wondering when it will arrive.
Time to call, they shouldn't be charging your card till shipped.

Thanks for the suggestion. Since your post, I updated the shipping status as I was notified.

I understand shipping/logistics. I'm a retired system developer and supported the warehouse business system for a large communication co. Before being a developer, I managed material selection in three different areas of a distribution center that supported a five state region. I also managed the data operations and customer service groups at this distribution center. So, I spent the last dozen years of my career in logistics. Our customers ordered items by noon and it was delivered the next day. It was a sophisticated and efficient operation. We moved 2000s+ orders daily in each distribution center and the system I supported was used by 6 different distribution centers thoughout the U.S. when I left the bus.

Obviously, the operations I managed and then supported were quite different than the distribution system used by EastCoastTVs. Different systems, different expectations. But we handled some big stuff, too. One of the selecting operations I managed early on was cable cutting and shipping. Talk about big heavy stuff. That's a horse of a way different color.

But I digress.. I'm hoping the order will arrive in a couple days.

4/10/13 8:05pm AM Delivery called to schedule a 4/11/13 delivery of the TV.
4/11/13 TV delivered as scheduled on 4/10.

Thank you ECTVs for fulfilling this order.

Yesterday I ordered a new cell phone device, just a Pantech Renue, nothing special, to replace my 4+ yr old Sony Erickson cell phone, because the old cell was not taking a charge from the in wall charger and it was in need of replacing.

I ordered this phone from AT&T at about 2:30 pm CST on 4/18/2013. It arrived in Algonquin Il. from Memphis Tn. at 10 am CST on 4/19/2013. Although shipping was overnight, it was free. I realise there's a big difference in shipping a 2 lb 10x11x7 inch box containing a cell phone with a mobile charger accessory and a 60x33x6.5 inch 50 lb box containing a TV. However, the disparity between a 21 hr delivery from AT&T and a 21 day delivery from ECTVs is noteworthy, to say the least. Again, I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
