Just replaced a 3x1 Impact Acoustic Switch with a 6x2 Impact Acoustic Switch. Now under certain conditions on a Mitsubishi WS-65857 the video runs/streaks and even cuts out to blue screen from an DTV HR10-250. Usually when a lot of solid colors on screen or big lettering on screen. Never had this issue prior to the switch change. If I change the HR10-250 output format from 1080i to 480i the problem disappears. I have not tried to reproduce on DTV HR-20. Any ideas, is this switch causing signal loss or what else could this be? New to forum, thanks. Any advice? |

![]() The only think I can think of is that the switch is not rated for Hi Band Component (HDTV) There are two kinds of component: Hi Band - HDTV (720P, 1080i and 1080P) Lo Band - NTSC (480i) and EDTV (480P) Can you return it? This is a 4/1 Hi band Switch: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 |

Thanks!
The unit states HDTV Selector. I have seen no noise or disruptions from my other HD Outputs 2 (DTV HR-20) & Blu-Ray DVD. |

You might try changing the cable on the offending input. Every time a cable is removed and reinserted it can be damaged. I'd suspect the green component cable is causing the problem as it carries the picture and sync.
If there is no joy there, then try switching to anouther input. That will tell you if the switch has a weak input. |
