HighDef Forum Is One Of The Best

I have been a member of this forum for a short period of time, and have not read that many posts, but my experience with it so far has been very positive.

Believe me I have joined a great many forums, and this one by far has the most intelligent and respectful discussions than any others I have encountered.

As just one example, I used to frequent the forums on IMDB.com and try to enter into meaningful debate's about various films. I still visit the site to get information about a movie before I rent or see it at the theatre, but do not read or engage in the forums anymore.

Almost without exception when I posted a valid comment or question about a movie, sooner or later I got a reply that made personal attacks on me. I have been called a retard, stupid idiot, and other names that I will not even repeat. I picture most of these posters as teenagers that have nothing better to do than engage in immature discussions they would never have with someone face to face.

Anyway, sorry to be so long winded, but just wanted to say keep up the good work and stay respectful to each other and you will be one of the best forums on the web.

Hey, welcome to the forum and your right, this is about the best Forum online, unfortunately, you may get a rough response, but they are few and far between. There are some pretty informative folks posting here, so post and enjoy, and again,

Thanks for the reply Rizzo, and you are right no forum is perfect, because posters are human, and we all tend to display inappropriate behavior at times. It sort of comes down to one thing "We all need to agree it's Ok to disagree"

Pleased to have another valuable member! To bad you missed the "debates" hot and heavy over BD vs HD DVD. Most of us tussled but most of us remain loyal to the site!! Welcome aboard.
