Default Laying the TV on its back

I have to pick up my new Panny TH-50PZ700U tomorrow. If I can't stand it up in my truck, and I have to lay it down on its back while it's still in the box, will this damage the TV in any way? Thanks for any help.

Is there something in the way in your truck (rack or camper shell)?

I wouldn't lay anything that expensive on its side. Remove any obstructions. Take rope with you and lash it securely to the truck bed in an upright position.

Yes, a very heavy, not easily removeable shell (cap) is in the way. I'll figure something out.
