Toshiba Boosts Profit Forecast by 50%

Thought this was interesting considering so many blubots think Toshiba is bleeding money. They are making money hand over fist, and except for a one-time property revaluation expense, they would have had a tremendous profit increase this quarter. In addition, they have posted increasing profits every year for over 3 years.

HONG KONG -

Toshiba Corp. on Monday reported an 18.5% jump in revenue for its second quarter on a turnaround in its PC business and improved social infrastructure sales, but it posted a 28% drop in profit, partly as a result of a one-time write-off due to revaluation of property.

It raised its profit forecast for the year by 50%, ahead of analyst estimates.

Investors bid Toshiba (other-otc: TOSBF - news - people ) shares up 3.4% to 1,000 yen ($8.76) in Tokyo.

I think they should re-adjust their profit back to its original numbers and give everyone some amazing deals on HD DVD players!!
