Hello,
not sure were I needed to post this, but I am on a mission to get the word out on just how bad a small repair shop located in San Dimas Calirfornia who are Mitsubishi certified and G.E. (General Eletric) television warranty service plans for many contracts namely The Good Guys as well as a well known problem with Mitsubishi DLP television namely the WD 52525. I have had problems like you would not believe with all three companies. PVS electronics were reported to the BBB and they replied with a letter that the BBB sent me stating that I was "Crazy" and enraged in which their workers felt "threatend". I simply was rasing my voice due to there 3 week delay and screw up. They also stated I threatened them with harm, I actually told them I was possibly seeking legal consult on this matter. My wife then waited until I went to work to ask if they would service the t.v. since by now they were refusing with GE to do the repair. Once they said no, my wife began to cry. However, in this letter they sent tothe BBB, they stated my wife called and was crying because she also was in fear of me, and stated I was crazy. The letter goes on and on, however, as my wife and I read the letter, I must say, we haven't laghed so hard in a very long time. Now, for G.E. (General Eletrics) warranty plans, I called them over 25 times, and to make a very very long story short, they do not care for the customers of the former Good Guys. GE services are not to be dealt with lightly. I asked for an 1-2 years more on my service plan for all their errors and mistakes, and not only did they say no, but hell no (in a matter of speaking). They then told me to call the customer service for The Good Guys (which still does exist) to get the extended extra 1-2 years. So, I called them, I asked, they said NO, and hung up. I called back GE, told them what happened, they said, all well, and hung up. It has taken nearly 3.5 months, and I have not watched t.v. my unit still sits on my table waiting eagerly for repair. Also, just a warning for all you Mitsubishi owners, especially all the DLP owners. I have done a great deal of research in the 3.5 months that I have had no t.v. and found a lot of information that is not so good for the owners of mitsubishi t.v.s I called 20 certified Mitsubishi repair companies and took their numbers, names, times I called etc...and asked a few simple basic questions. Oddly enough, they all ansered pretty much the same. They said that Mitsubishi is the worst customer service to deal with and most of the time, legal counsel is often sought. However, the most important thing is that when the lamp goes out, (which they are going out if less time then they first expected), that the great power surge they cause has the ability to take out either the Light Engine or the Light Chasis. Each of these parts retails for over $1200.00 not including labor and all the other stuff that goes along with these types of repairs. I asked that even when this is fixed, if the lamp goes out again, it has just as much possiblity of taking out those two items again and again every 1-2 years. I have been estimated my t.v. alone will cost me $1200 to $1600 because it could be one or both of those light boards (Light chasis or light engine). And just to think, this could happen again next year, after my warranty runs out. So, as soon as it gets fixed, its being sold and I am getting the new Sony SXRD model 1080P. Please spread the word into as many blogs and forums as possble. Items to spread: PBS electronics located in San Dimas CA G.E. Extended Service Plan Mitsubishi DLP Lamp issue with Light engine and light chasis. THank YOU |

Hotshots, I am feeling your pain. I'm having a nightmare getting my Mits WS-65819 fixed. Bought it from GG too, about 4 years ago, with 5 year ESP.
So far it's been 61 days with no home theater. My beef is more with PVS than GE, although GE reps are not the greatest help either. First, it took almost 3 weeks for someone to finally come out to see the TV. Had to reschedule 3x; the first appt because GE set it up for a Friday, and PVS doesn't do house calls to Corona on Friday!? Second appt (Tues. 8am-12) was cancelled by PVS because they could not confirm the appt that same morning - despite the fact that I called their office several times from 9:15-9:30 to see when they would actually show up. Automated answering service said no one was available. My wife finally got thru to the someone at 10:30 and they said "the tech should be there any minute." Waited til 2:00 and later found out the tech cancelled at 9:30 because no one answered the phone. So after a bit of complaining, I reluctantly rescheduled a 3rd appt. (3's a charm, right? - NOT!) Long story short, the tech, "Silvio", takes the internal box (CRT Tubes and boards), front control panel, and remote to their shop. It takes them exactly 6 WEEKS to bring it back. The day I've been waiting for, I make arrangements to personally be there when theTV gets back. Time slot 8am-12pm again. Arrives around 10-ish. Puts the internal Box back in, but does not have the front control panel or remote!! Silvio claims he doesn't pack up the stuff, and the person who does forgot to include the remote and control panel. He apologizes and says he will bring back everything later AFTER HIS OTHER APPTS. I didnt want to piss him off, though I was pretty disappointed. So I said fine, no prob. I can miss an ENTIRE DAY of work. 3:27pm, he calls back and says he's on his way. By 4:40 now, he puts everything together, and like magic - the TV HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE DAY IT LEFT MY HOUSE - power on 1-3 seconds, then off. "Silvio" apologizes again, and says he does not know why it's not working. He says he's upset about the situation. (He thinks HE's upset!) Again, I dont want to piss him off, so I say fine, take the unit back and let's get it fixed asap. He tells me he'll have it looked at first thing in the morning, and will contact me that morning or afternoon. That was yesterday 11/14. Today I did not get a call from him and could not get through to PVS due to constant busy signal when I call. So I looked up Silvio's caller ID on my cell phone and call him direct. He answers and I ask him about my TV. He says, "You have the wrong number" and abruptly hangs up. I call back again, and get his voicemail. I leave a professional and polite message for him to call me with status. I finally got through to PVS right before 5pm, and speak with Daniel, the "service manager" (more likely the receptionist). He tells me that he didn't even know the TV came back, but knew about the "stuff" being missing on the morning appt yesterday. He tells me the only thing he can do is leave a message for someone to contact me. hurray. So I'm pretty dissappointed right know and feel like a jackass. I'd like to help you spread the word about PVS, and want to confirm their horrible customer service. Let me know if you have more sites you're posting on. I'd be more than happy to support you. I am even considering putting up an anti-PVS Electronics website. Depending on how things work out, I may be battling with GE as well. BTW, PVS Electronics in San Dimas, has now moved to Ontario, CA. They are one in the same. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do you think they'll tack on 2 months ESP since it's been at the shop this whole time?? |

Hey,
I have an update for you. Since I have posted, It has taken just about 6 months to the day. After I finally finished with PVS, because "Daniel" felt I was to angry he told his boss he felt "threatend" by me, oh please, so they refused to do service with me. I was so pissed, I believe I already explained in detail what happened with PVS and what made me so pissed in previous thread, however, GE then tells me, well, sorry, its your fault you pissed them off, so all we can do is give you $300.00 towards any other service YOU find. I was like, you must be joking, so I called them back after like three days and told them in their contract, they have to find another repair shop, so a week later, no call, so I call them back, and GE tells me for some reason they forwarded this back to PVS, and they refused, umm, oh my God, what the hell, no kidding, I told them, if they would read my notes they would know not to forward it back. So I then get told they will forward it again for someone else, two weeks later I call them back, and they tell me, Oh sorry, it is given to a place in San Bernardino called "Yassmiens" and here is the number. I call them and he is from like Pakistan, but its cool, I was telling him the problem and he says its fine, but can he pick up the t.v. and just take it to his shop since it might take awhile. I told him it was cool. he them tells me he will be at my house in a week on Tuesday at 6 pm. I had to work that day so he tells me he will bring his employee with him to help. At 6 pm I call my wife and she tells me they are not here yet. I call him back, he tells me sorry, his employee was unable to make it so he would have to reschedule for next week, I became a little upset, and he finally says, no problem, he will still pick it up and just find someone else. They finally pick it up at 9pm. Well, a month goes by and I call him, he tells me he replaced the Light Engine, and the Light Processor, but its not working, he is still ordering parts and will call me as soon as its fixed, but not to worry, because if it can't be fixed, which he states, he sees no problem in fixing it, that GE will just give me an even better t.v. I then wait another month and a half, I call him and he says he has now replaced every part inside the t.v. and it simply wont work and he is deeming it "unrepareable". He then tells me he is going to email GE and let them know his final answer. So, I call GE myself and tell them what is going on, they tell me a tech will call me in 48 hous. a week goes by and I call Yassmiens, he tells me that GE is giving him the run-around and is scolding him for telling me things about the t.v. that isn't true, he is furious at them and he tells me that he dropped his entire account with not only GE repair but Mitsubishi in general. He told me I am not the only customer this has happened to but many others, he went on to tell me that GE is the WORST company he has ever dealt with in the 25 years he has been repairing t.v. and Mitsubishi is a close second. I then call GE back and they tell me my case is being forwarded onto the people necessary to get my problem resolved and it would take 48 hours to get a call back. I then wait over 2 weeks and I finally call them back, they tell me sorry, it was never forwarded and they would do it now. I then wait another week and they tell me it was never recieived, but they would do it now, I was growing more and more angry. I then call them 5 days ago, and get this, they tell me that the man in charge, his computer crashed and he lost all his files, so they would have to re-submit this and this lady Diane would personally call me back in a few days. Here is the best part, I get a call back, and the few days before I told them for all the HELL I had gone through, could I atleast get something in return for all my problems, Diane tells me, well, she is not sure, but she will see what she can do. Anyway, yesterday as I talked to someone else, he tells me that first of all, for my problems, I could either have a $100 gift card for any GE product or a $100 off for any other warranty service, I began laughing outloud. I said to just forget it, now, what was my approval. Now remember, I paid $3999.99 plus $500.00 for the warranty service less then two years ago for a state of the art Mitsubishi WD-52525 DLP (Plus Tax 7.75). Of which I still owe over $3000.00 on. He then tells me that they have approved me for $1900.00 for another t.v. I about lost it. I told him my story and he said, sorry, this is all were able to do. I then told him I already did my research and for the t.v. currently that replaces this model sells at Circuit City, Comp USA, Tweeter for $2299.00 plus tax, he said, that this was the price that Mitsubishi gave him so there was nothing he could do. So guys, what do I do now. Any suggestions would be great. And if anyone wants to email please do so. jrthomp74@yahoo.com and if you want to call me, email me and ask for number. I would especially like to get in touch with the one who just recently posted to this thread with the same problems with GE and pVS. Thanks. James Thompson Hotshots |
