Are you using the component HD cables and did you confirm they're connected properly (RGB color jacks matched with RGB TV ports)?

Unhappy

Yeah I am using the proper component HD connections ensuring the cables are in the right way and also in all the way. Wondering if the problem can be fixed and if it would be worth it.

TV works fine using scart and other connections as standard TV quality; even the VGA socket is fine when using it as a pc monitor. only when you try to use the TV in HD mode is the colour all messed up, even if you use the xbox360 VGA cable on the TV the colour is messed up.

I have used two different xbox360 units also using different cables, even from different brand names with no effect. And changing the colour, contrast ect settings really has no effect, nether changing the settings on the TV or the xbox360 menu makes a difference at all. So the problem must be with the HD side of things within the TV, but no idea what or even how to fix it, and the company who made the TV weren’t very helpful at all and nore is the shop I got it. It was boxed and brand new when I originally got it 3 months ago though, just that I don’t have the box anymore and cant find my proof of purchase for the unit..

I really REALLY need help on how to fix it if at all or if its able to be fixed by someone in the trade ect.

Firstly, we need to determine if the Display or the Xbox is the problem. Have you tried your Xbox on any other HD display using the component cable connection? If not, you should do this to see if it is a problem with the component outputs on the Xbox.

Secondly, have you tried your TV with any other HD signal source over component? It would really be a good idea to check this out with something other than a game box type of signal source. Perhaps you could borrow a DVD player with component outputs that upscales over component, and could see if that produces an acceptable picture.

When you have the problem isolated to an individual component, either the X-box, or TV, or possibly cables, then it will be easier to determine a course of action to take.

It does sound like your TV is broke. From the way you spelled color and your reference to scart, I get the feeling you are in an area where the TVs are 50hz. If the source is a 60hz source rather than a 50hz source that could cause a problem on a 50hz TV.

This sounds like a very good place to start.....also this may sound stupid but I'm not familiar with this type of tv but is the tv HD?

Yes. 1366x768 qualifies for HD.

Also if this is the case, what could he do to resolve this?

Default VPU error

Compnay who deals with the tv is collecting it and will fix or replace the tv as needed. I finally was able to contact them and they said it must be a video processing fault on the board and the whole board will need replaced for an all new one. so just waiting waiting now. Im in the EU by the way, hence "scart"

If you tv has more than one component input try switching it to the other one. I have found that many tv's have one input desiginated for HD and the other is for 480P
