Default Where sould I buy my tv at?

Around here I got abcwarehouse and rsx's and best buy.
So be for real what one is best and also abcwarehouse my dad knows some ppl there and can get me a discount on any tv I want even if it just came out.

What I am saying by what is the best is same as me saying... what is the safest store to buy from and make sure the tv I buy is 100% brand new and never used or anything.

Well, not sure you could get a clear answer.

Now, not knowing the other stores, I would say Best Buy is the safest bet, simply because it's a large national retailer.

However, if your dad knows people at abcwarehouse well enough to get a discount, couldn't see why they would try to screw him (ie, sell a used HDTV and call it new).

You will have to evaluate the stores on the quality of service they offer. A large screen HDTV is a big purchase. Does the store offer delivery and set-up? If they do, for a modest fee, then I would consider that, as if they damage the set in bringing it to you and unpacking it and setting it up, it is their problem and you should get instant gratification on a replacement set. They will also haul off all the packing material.

Which store has the best deal on an extended warranty? with in-home service? If you get one of the TV's that uses a projection bulb (DLP, RP-LCD, Lcos, etc), then some warranties cover bulb replacement. The bulbs are very expensive $200-$400 and DO burn out and WILL need replacement at some point. Does the store stock bulbs, or do they have to order them, and you have to wait until they get it?

The bigger and more expensive the TV is, the more you should be concerned with the quality of service the store provides after the sale. All modern HD tv's can produce a nice picture when set-up properly in the home, regardless of what they look like in the store.

Also try crutchfield AFTER visiting local stores to see what is best suited for your idea of PQ and money available. You can avoid some local taxes, and they offer a very good shipping cost with very good backup/return.

Cool

If you decide to purchase from Best Buy, check the on-line prices at their web site before you buy from an actual store. I saved about $200 and received coupons for 7 free DVDs by purchasing from them on line. AND they had a free shipping special at the time.

I asked the salesman in the store if they would meet their own on line price and he said they don't do that.

It was a no-brainer............
