clean cable ends

Hey guys, I just went through all my cables and ports with deoxit.
my avr is a little older, and that stuff is amazing. It cleaned all this crud off the ports, (gold plated) they can get oxidized by the current.
Even my cable ends, I just had better cables put in last yr. and I was amazed at the crap that was on them. Plus, I swear it made my system sound better! Even the "boss" noticed it. she yelled at me thinking I bought a new amp. I think it's well worth the time I put in. I did my speaker binding posts also, and the HDMI lines. They all had crap on them! It turns a reddish color and comes right off. You can see how shiny they look after.

There is a liquid called Contact it eliminates those corrosive build ups, while making a firm and complete contact/sealer. And removal is simply aided by twisting plug as you remove it.

The set I got had the cleaner and protect in one pack. then I found a nice 5 oz can on ebay for less than the 2 pack small cans. They also have a brush on type like a nail polish type bottle. That would be good for ports and cable ends. I used it on all my eq pots. (sliders)
