What are you using for your source reference? A reference DVD or BD is recommended such as the Spears & Munsil BD. What do you mean by "tweaking"? What adjustments have you attempted on your Panny?
Lastly, how are your receivers connected to your video source - HDMI, component, composite??? Is this the same for both the Panny and the LG?

i've had a couple panasonic plasmas and they all seem to be more orange than red. had a 42"st30 which i could not get right either.

I guess what I'm saying is that it could actually be your LG that was off-color. You won't know which TV is right until you have some standard colors to work from. That's where the reference disk comes in. Get the Spears & Munsil or the Disney WOW disk and use it. There is a procedure to follow and if you do, I'm sure your Panasonic will deliver pretty accurate colors. Guessing at a color is the worst thing to do since color memory (remembering what a color should look like) is really poor for us humans.

Get the disk. Each takes you through what you need to do, and those procedures are also posted elsewhere in this forum.

i got a 55" ST50 pany. wow what a picture. the "motion smoother default on setting" almost made me return it ...fortunately it's off now no more jerky motion. weird to default this on!!!

I read on cnet once you turn the motion smoother off the set dipped to 800p motion. I believe you're talking about soap opera effect not seen the 09 & 10 plasmas that gave you the full motion without the effect. This prevented me from getting the 11 model. However, they did say unless you're watching something with fast motion, you will not see a difference.
