Default ViewHD (HDMI to Component)

Does anyone have one of these ?

http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Input-C.../dp/B004F9XVBC

It's a 2 HDMI Input to Component converter. I have a Sony KDSR60XBR1 and the HDMI ports do not work. It's probably a HDCP problem as sometimes depending on the order I power up I do briefly get a picture for a couple seconds then followed by a Green or other color screen.

Will the ViewHD converter allow me to view all my Comcast cable channels?
I've seen the HDFury products (but more $$$) will they allow me to view all my Comcast cable channels?

thanks!

It looks like it ought to work. Can you not simply connect the Comcast set top box to your TV with component cables?

Don't know about the ViewHD,but i can tell you first hand that the HDFury 2/3 work fantastically well.I connect it to my Sat.receiver and run RGB cables to my tv.Also have a Component to s-video converter and run RGB cables to its Component HD passthru, then to tv, and an s-video cable to my DVDR and am able to watch a HD movie while recording in in high quality analog SD.Works great!! The HDFury is also a great workaround for the coming "analog sunset",so if you have older video components(tv,dvdr) that only have analog inputs, the Fury will allow you to get a high quality analog signal to it and extend the useful life of older analog equipment instead of having to throw it away prematurely. I'm using components now from the cable box and the blu-ray player.
I have a GoogleTV that is only HDMI out.
I'm using all my component inputs now so if this ViewHD works I can run the cable box and the GoogleTV through it.

thanks!

Does anyone have this unit and do they know if it can upscale? For instance, if my input device is outputting a 720p signal. Will this be able to output it in say 1080i or will it automatically switch to 720p to match the input device.

The unit doesn't need to do the upscaling, just let your tv do the upscaling to the highest resolution it can accept. That's all. JR.
