Went from Sony xbr-5 to samsung 8500 55" and...

Ok so I have a home theater. Sony str-da3300es receiver. Direct TV hd-dvr Receiver. X-box-360. PS-3, and finally a Sony xbr-5 HDTV. I have all the components running through my receiver via hdmi. Then a single hdmi out running to my tv. Everything worked fine until I bought my new tv. I purchased a Samsung 55" 8500 series. All I did was unplugged the hdmi cable from the sony, and then plugged it into the Samsung. Now I can't get the surround sound to work in any of my components. Anyone have any ideas?
