Default Picture and Sound out of synch

I have a Pioneer Elite receiver processing the input from Dish to a Panasonic plasma, (1080p) through an HDMI cable - the sound and picture seem to be out of synch much of the time, but it's sporadic, and occurs more on the HD channels than on the others - does anyone have a suggested fix?

Welcome to the forum!

Try turning off all the "enhancements" in the TVs menus as they require additional processing time and can contribute to causing this sync issue. Also make sure you have the sat box set to bypass converting the resolution and let the TV do the scaling as well. I do not have Dish so I am not sure if this option exists but if it does try this.

PS. It is a good adea to list the brand AND models of the equipment being used so we can help more and faster.

Most importantly, try unplugging your dish receiver from the wall for 1/2 hour, plug it back in, let it go through the re-acquiring satellite signal and so on then try it. All should be well...
