Good Deal????????

I can Pick-up a brand new Samsung-55"/1080p/120hz/LCD-LED HDTV 3000,000:1 Mega Contrast/ 4 MS response time (Model UN55B6000) for $2311.18 delivered. Is this a good price and does anyone recommend this HDTV. I was also looking at the Samsung-55"/1080p/240hz/LCD-LED HDTV 5000,000:1 Mega Contrast/ 4 MS response time (Model UN55B8000) for $2796.68. I have to decide and pay for the HDTV by tomorrow afternoon when the sale ends.

That appears to be in line with what most online retailers are listing for that HDTV. Too bad you can't wait a couple of days in order to check out the Labor Day sales.

have you considered plasma? For that price you could have a 54" - 58" tv, that for all practical purposes, would deliver if not the same, but probably a superior picture. Don't be misled about some of the old plasma horror stories (burn in, recharge,etc.). Todays plasma TV's are generally cheaper, and with respect to me fellow forum members, deliver a better picture. So to answer your question, is it a good deal????? A plasma, in me opinion, would be a better deal. By the way Glockman, welcome to the forum and let us know how you decide. And remember - before you buy cables, query this forum.

The new technology LED LCD TV's are suffering from quite a few problems, uneven screen lighting being the most complained about. I would look at another without LED or a nice plasma.
