Default *.mov video Windows XP needs 2.8GHz ?

Hi,
I have a Aiptek Action-HD GVS 1080P. Is it true that the recommended requirements for 720p and for 1080p. *.mov video files played back on the Windows XP computer would be 2.8GHZ ?

My 4 year old PC has 1.6 GHz Intel Pentium - when I played the MOV video in Quicktime, it was choppy - i.e. the frames freezes for a split second, then plays for a split second, then freezes, then plays. The choppiness is worse on on my other PC running windows XP. Is that due to speed of my Pentium chip or due to old Graphics card?

Thanks.

Hi, I ran my Mov files on XP, before I purchased my current computer.

I got a Nero cd with the DVD player I purchased. Showtime 3 ran my vidz flawlessly, however in 30 days they wanted you to pay for the codecs to continue to use the software. I think my computer was 2.53 Ghz. I'm not sure you can run MOV files with your processor. What kind of graphics card are you running, how many gigs of ram do you have?

You could also check out the Dell forums for other peeps who may have solved this issue.

Hope this helps
