I recently got an AIPTEK A-HD+ 1080P VIDEO CAMCORDER. I found the 1280x720 30fps to be acceptable, and the video for my purposes is good. Actually the 1280x720 60fps is better, but for simplicity I'll use the more standard frame rate. The encoding is supposed to be H.264 AVCHD. The file type that the camera creates is .MOV. All I want to do is make a bunch of clips into a DVD, edit out some of the junk, kill the audio, and add MP3s for new audio. I have a PC running Vista and I've tried Roxio Videowave, Corel Videostudio 12, Ulead Moviefactory 6, Arcsoft Totalmedia Extreme, Cyberlink Powerdirector Ultra, and on and on. The usual problem comes when I try to open or add a file to the clipboard. The program and computer locks up tighter than a tick and I have to reboot. The only program that doesn't have a problem is TotalMedia Extreme. It produces a good video but will not allow editing the sound. If someone could just point me in the right direction, I would be so grateful. Thanks in advance!
