You need a reader to use it.

I already had this program before I bought the camera.
Remember these are .mov files. See if your software has the codecs for it.

The HD out works great through component, looks fantastic on my TV.
The camera is worth the price alone. I use the 8 mega pixel .

I recorded in 720p 60f. This camcorded works excellent with ConvertXtoDVD.
You must have at least a 4, 3.2GHz to run on pc, and I don't have that.
I do view the DVD on my Toshiba, and it looks incredible.

I understand about not wanting something cheap, however, the last camcorder I bought was 800 bucks.
I'm so tired of spending money, and the technology leaves me with a artifact. I went on the CC site where they buy back your old equipment. It is in cherry condition, I only used it for like a year, and they said it's worth 23 bucks, oh Hell to the No!

I absolutely love this camcorder/camera!
Here's a pic I took with it, now mind you I was just messin with it. As I get more proficient am sure the pics will look better.

Sprk, the other thing is, do you have a upconverting dvd player? Because you know sd dvd's won't be in hi def.
However if you have an upconverting dvd player or recorder, you should be all set.
