Direct Show HD?

Hello, i got subscribed today to this nice forum. I have a Sony Handicam HDR-UX3E Full HD 1080i Recording....my passion is golf and when i train myself I need to bring with me my portable pc and my camera, I always saw my golf swings in PictureMotionBrowser!
Now I need to use a Golf Swing Analysis software, that I have already found, that uses the DirectShow technology, but it doesn't find my camera with the USB. Now what have i got to do to see my videos in the pc in real time with the camera?? TY

I would think you wold setup your camera as a webcamera...

For example, My Sony HDR-SR7 can film in real time on my computer in Webcamera mode:

Well Golfzilla...
I just assumed the webcamera function would work with my new HDR-SR7 since the "howto" was right on Sony's webpage for the HDR-SR7...


However, I am not able to get it to work. My old Sony camcorder did, but those days are long gone.

I tried to read the Sony manual but i cannot find a solution? Do I better send to Sony an e-mail?


I have an "old" Olympus Camedia C-770 Ultra Zoom too, could this camera give me this real time video?
