Panasonic TM700 not downloading

For the first time when I connect the AC power chord and USB the camera won't go into download mode. the hour glass spins and spins until a message "disconnect USB cable" appears.

haven't had this problem before. I did just replace the AC to camera cable.

Since you just replaced the AC cable that would be the culprit. Two things - Why did you replace the cable and is the replacement OEM? I know for a fact that on Canon you must have AC power to download, not sure on Panny's.
