Default recording AVCHD

Simply put, I am not interested in editing or doing any enhancements of any kind to the movies that I shoot. I just want to get a good software package to be able to record the movies onto a DVD to play on my Blu-ray player. Also with a mini HDMI cable, will I be able to get 1080p playback when plugged into my TV? Any software help would be great or any possible suggestions on hardware upgrades would also be welcome; keeping in mind that I have no intentions on upgrading to Windows 7 for quite some time.

3 simple choices - Pinnacle 14 - bout $100 bucks. Import and burn all in one package.
Sony Platinum Pro 9 - bout $100 bucks - Import, render and burn to DVD Architect. Separate software but included in the bundle.
multiAVCHD and ImgBurn - 2 freeware apps that do the same as above,,just without the bells and whistles.
