HD Output to SD TV

Hi,
I currently have a standard definition TV but will be going HD when it breaks or within a year if it doesn't break in that time.
Thing is I want to buy a camcorder but don't want to wast money on standard def so I would like to know if there are HD camcorders that will play on an s.d. TV ?
If so then how would I do it.
I just can't find the information anywhere as everyone assumes you have an HDTV if you're buying an HD camcorder.

Virtually all HD cams will play to a regular TV. Just use the composite out (yellow AV) jack. Usually the manual has specific instructions on how to do this.
