Default Rendered AVCHD

I have been using Vegas Pro 8/9 and DVD Architect 5.0 for almost a year now. I edited and rendered m2ts footages in Mpeg2 for DVD and am happy with the results.

Today for the first time I am testing out rendering a short footage in AVCHD and it plays fine on the computer. I have not try to burn the AVCHD to DVD. I import the AVCHD file into the DVD Architect 5.0 and it play fine ok. If I proceed to make a DVD. Will DVD Architect prepare it as a AVCHD DVD or it will automatically convert to Mpeg2?
Can you one here give some information about this.

PS. DVD Architect properties is only Mpeg2 for video formatt. How are you guys burn AVCHD to DVD?

Bruce

It will be down ressed to 720 x 480 and show up as the audio and video ts files. It will play in your dvd/bd player. It be a good idea to have a couple of re-writables on hand just to see if the different burning methods and formats will be "friendly" to your player.

Thanks for reply.

Another question is if I burn blu ray format on the time line to DVD. Will it plays on a DVD player.

DVD Architect will not allow you to burn using the BD option if you don't have a BD burner installed. It simply defaults to dvd when you click on BD. Even if it did allow you to burn, it would not play in a standard dvd player.

Bruce,,,almost forgot. multiAVCHD is a freebie that can be found over at the doom9 website with an accompanying thread on their forum. The thread is well over a 100 pages of useful information so be prepared for a bit of info overload. if you are sincere about getting the most out of the avchd format,,,it would be worth your time. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143744

Thumbs up

After a lot of reading. I found that MultiAvchd/TsMuxer and ImgBurn work well in burning AVCHD. It a free program and easy to follow. I am waiting for my new Core i7 920 with 8gig DDR3,1792mb graphic card to arrive. I will do the followings, I will edit the m2t footages in in Vegas pro 9 (about 40 minutes video)and render it in avchd. Then I will load the AVCHD file to MultiAvchd or TsMuxer and then burn it. The bad thing is I don't have a blu ray player to test it. But I will test it on my PC.

I finally got my new Core i7 920 today running stock speed. I gotta say I am impress with the power. I test out render a short HD footage and surfing the internet and open multiple applications, I try to throw everything at it. It still won't hicup. Unbelieveable power. I can't imaging some one oc to 4 GHz that gotta be crazy fast. Edit AVCHD is so painless now, I love it.
