Default Kingston Memory Memory

I have just purchased a HF200 and a Kingston SDHC card Class 6 to go with it .But when trying to record in top quality i get the message i get the message cannot record in MXP mode on this memory card.Do you think i have a duff card.Any ideas apart from the label i can check to make sure it is a class 6 ?

did you initialize the card from the camcorder?

Yes all done as manual instructed.
Someone has mentioned that this model is not compatable with this Class 6 card ?

Your manual should give you what speed to use. If anything, this camera would be limited at the lower end (class 1 & 2 ) and should readily accept class 4 & 6. Did read one review where they did have trouble getting getting the cam to read a card, but they eventually got it to work.

The manual says 4 and above but no brands are mentioned.

I am using 2 x Adata 16GSDHC6 (Blue) Class 6 16GB SDHC on my 2 weeks old HF200. The HF200 detected both as Class 6 right away and no format required. Tried MXP and all working fine.
I read the user review over amazon and there quite a few Canon user so that's what I get as well. For the price, it is hard to beat.
