Default Calibrating break in

I am understanding this right, that one should have at least 100 hours of play time on their television set b4 using either one of the calibration disc? How would you make a guess about the hours of play time.

Boss.

That would be true of a plasma but with LCD you can calibrate now!

Thank you, that is why I wrote "Mostly." It seems everyone on here has plasma.

Even with a plasma set, you would do well to calibrate right now.

Just be prepared to recalibrate in a month or so.

My LCD set definitely needed recalibration after 1 year;
probably it was sooner, but I noticed things weren't "right",
and sure enough the cal was way off.
