Default Help with picture settings!

Hi, I just purchased a Hitachi P50S601 50" plasma, and I need help with the picture settings. I just can't get it right. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the settings should be?
color?
sharpness?
tint?
Etc?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I say get yourself a calibration DVD, either AVIA or DVE. And follow instructions.

Each TV needs to be calibrated. There are no general settings applicable to all. Each case is different.

You don't need to buy a calibration dvd. If you have a Pixar movie like The Incredibles that runs THX,there will be a test mode for picture and audio settings. I used it on my Sony KDS-60A3000 and it worked great! I'm sure there are alot of other movies that run THX that have this setup.

Make sure the color mode on your Hitachi is set to normal as well. The Day(Dynamic) setting is some serious overkill.

A dedicated calibration disc will always do a better job.
