Default Xbox Calibration

TV: Panasonic P42S1
Receiver: Onkyo S6200

Xbox 360 will be hooked into Receiver with component video and optical cable. It is for gaming (obviously) and my DVD player. Is it necessary to create custom calibrations for gaming and one for DVD, or would one setting be fine for both, in your experience?

On the calibrations I have performed on gaming systems, most clients preferred a higher saturation level (color) when playing.

For film viewing, accuracy is important.

You might try setting the controls in one of the user presets for the DVD side and then see if you like that for gaming. If not, simply use another preset for gaming and reset the controls for that.
